"Adjunct Faculty - Advanced Clinical Practice & Psychotherapy - Bellarmine University"

The Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology of the Department of Psychology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Advanced Clinical Practice and Psychotherapy in the spring semester (1/5/2025 - 4/30/2025). This course is being offered in person and on campus. Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in psychology. In addition to the course, the instructor is expected to be available to students as needed, including a minimum of one hour of office hour held weekly on campus or remotely.

At Bellarmine, the Advanced Clinical Practice and Psychotherapy course builds upon students' developing clinical skills through an in-depth examination of foundational theories, techniques, and ethical considerations in psychotherapeutic practice. Emphasizing evidence-based approaches, students examine the contemporary applications of major therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic-existential, and integrative approaches. Students develop clinical skills in treatment planning, clinical intervention and therapeutic alliance building. Special attention is given to cultural competence, diversity, and the therapeutic relationship as central to effective clinical practice.

The course meeting date and time is as follows: Tuesday and Thursday 9:25-10:40am

Job Requirements:

• Must have Ph.D. in Psychology before January 2026.
• Must be a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky before January 2026.
