We're a College and a Community

New England College in New Hampshire is an accredited, private, non-profit college founded in 1946. Originally established to serve the needs of servicemen and women attending college on the GI Bill after World War II, today NEC delivers programs of academic excellence to a diverse student body from all over the world.

Campus: Our campus in Henniker, New Hampshire, is 15 minutes from Concord (the State capital), 30 minutes from Manchester (the State’s largest city), and 90 minutes from Boston. This 220-acre campus is full of natural beauty and outdoor activities.

Programs: All our programs—over 60 associate and bachelor’s degrees, over 20 master’s degrees, and one doctoral degree program—are delivered in the liberal arts tradition. Our dedicated and accomplished faculty focus on giving students opportunities to live what they learn.

Students: Over 5,000 students from all over the world attend NEC. Our undergraduate student body represents 36% ethnic diversity, making NEC the most diverse college campus in New Hampshire.

Activities: There is always something to do at NEC! Free skiing and snowboarding at Pats Peak, award-winning NCAA III athletics teams, ropes courses, on campus trails, intramural sports, and more than 40 student clubs and organizations means you’ll have plenty of chances to meet new people and try new things.

Study Away: We believe that the world is your classroom, and our professor-led trips combine classroom learning and real-world application. You can travel around the world over winter or spring break at no extra cost. The trip is already included in your tuition.

Internships: Numerous internship opportunities in real-world jobs have allowed our students to live what they learn.
