Adjunct/Art and Music instructor in The Communication and the Arts department

The Communication and the Arts Department at Mercy University seeks part-time, adjunct instructors to teach general education courses to undergraduate students.

Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up to three sections of any given course, with an emphasis in Music and Art, with a maximum of three course assignments per semester.

Commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence is required.

Candidates may also be asked to provide assistance with program assessment and development and to attend select programmatic or professional development meetings.

Schedule: Day and Evening teaching opportunities.

Location: Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited institution in an appropriate academic discipline.
• Demonstrated experience successfully teaching general education, Communication, Media, Music or Arts courses at the college level.
