DESCRIPTION
Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following discipline: Counseling
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
- To provide academic advisement for students
- Create educational plans
- Assist students who wish to transfer, may be on academic probation or need to declare an academic major
- Assignment may include working during the day, evening
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must meet one of the following requirements
Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges: Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family, and child counseling OR the equivalent. (Academic Affairs Division, California Community Colleges 2012)
(Note: A license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline, pursuant to Title V, Section 53410.1)
