The Citadel's Zucker Family School of Education (ZFSOE) is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions in the Division of Counselor Education.

Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is currently accepting applications for The Citadel's Zucker Family School of Education (ZFSOE), Division of Counselor Education to establish a pool for adjunct faculty assignments. Adjunct assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed. This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather for a pool of candidates who may be considered for part-time teaching or allied faculty assignments. Courses are offered during evening in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats and throughout the academic year (fall, spring, and summer). All adjunct positions are per session appointments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Abiding by and upholding the Citadel's mission, policies, and core values.
• Utilizing effective teaching and learning practices such as presentations, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of instructional delivery; preparing course outlines and syllabi in accordance with program standards and in collaboration with the program coordinator.
• Completing student assessments required for program completion, and meeting all scheduled class periods.
• Being available to students for individual consultation and submitting final grades by the specified due date.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree is required to teach graduate courses.
• Three years of professional counseling experience at the elementary, middle grades, secondary, and/or college level.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experience in designing courses and materials.
