Position Summary

La Salle University's English department has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach composition courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. Courses generally taught by adjunct faculty may include: College Writing I: Persuasion, or College Writing II: Research. These courses are generally offered in person during the day.

Essential Duties

• Teach assigned course(s).
• Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives.
• Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
• Provide guidance and support to students.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in English or closely related field.
• Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
• Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

• Sections must be taught in person.

This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department.
