"Adjunct Faculty in Illustration"

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in Illustration within the Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media. The School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) offers programs including Film and Television, Animation, Creative Producing, Documentary, and Screenwriting. Courses may include making comics, history of comics, concept art, storyboarding, practical perspective, technical rendering, observational drawing, and color theory. Our facilities include a Risograph EZ590, and full-time faculty includes cartoonists Amy Lockhart, Jacob Ciocci, and Scott Roberts. Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in the discipline, or an undergraduate degree with a minimum of five years demonstrated relevant professional experience. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working and teaching in a diverse learning environment.

Salary Information: The anticipated hiring rate is between $4,700 and $6,000 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
