Adjunct Faculty - Theatre Studies Department

The Theatre School's Theatre Studies Department invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching opportunities, for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, within the following areas:

• Art Leadership/Theatre Management
• Comedy
• Dramaturgy/Criticism/Dramatic Literature
• Theatre for Young Audiences/Education and Engagement
• Playwriting
• Theatre History and Theatre Arts

In order to best serve the students, part-time faculty are expected to perform all duties and responsibilities of a faculty member that are commensurate and consistent with the faculty member's qualifications and the best interests of DePaul.

Qualifications: M.F.A., PhD or equivalent professional experience in the subject area to be taught is required. Equivalent professional experience would be at least 10 years of professional experience or 5 years of professional experience and an undergraduate degree in a related field. A commitment to teaching is required; teaching experience on the college level is strongly desired. Ongoing activity in the relevant field is also desired.

Salary Information: The anticipated hiring rate of this position is between $5,000 and $6,600 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
