Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications:

The College of DuPage Continuing Education Youth Academy is seeking an instructor for the summer High School Credit course Algebra II with Trigonometry. These courses are offered for high school credit, recovery or advancement. Each semester course is a total of 60 contact hours. Classes begin on Thursday, June 4th through Friday July 31st from 8 am to 12 pm. No classes 6/18; 6/19; and 6/29 through 7/3. Classes are taught M-F in person at the Westmont Center and require use of the LMS Blackboard.

  • Pay rate is $45 per contact hour and $33.99 for approved course development hours.
  • Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in the subject matter.
  • Minimum two years' experience teaching high school students is preferred.
  • Current Illinois Professional Educator license is preferred. If applicant does not have a current IPEL, they must be able to obtain it before June 1st.
  • Sessions are conducted in-person at the Westmont Campus. Preferred applicants will have availability for both semesters.

Access to personal technology, home computer with ability to respond to emails in a timely manner is required.

A pre-employment background check at the Colleges' expense is required.

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
