Job Summary

Perform part-time operations of the instructional program at Navasota ISD.

Principal Accountabilities

• Teach courses among MATH - 1314, 1316, 1324, 1325, 1332, 1342, 1350, 1351, 2305, 2318, 2320, 2412, 2413, 2414, 2415 as needed by Navasota ISD in alignment with departmental, College, and State requirements.
• Maintain office hours as defined by Blinn College.
• Prepare course syllabus which shall include stated objectives for the course, following departmental and curriculum resource team requirements.
• Stay current on developments regarding instructional methodology.
• Maintain and provide, through the proper modalities, a grade evaluation on each student's performance in a timely fashion with the frequency required by Blinn College and in alignment with College and departmental requirements.
• Perform other Mathematics program related tasks and attend part-time faculty meetings as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Required Degree, License or Certifications

• Master's degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics or statistics.
• Must a current employee of Navasota ISD.

Minimum Competencies

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other instructors, staff, administration and students.
• Ability to instruct students while achieving the course learning objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

College teaching experience desirable.

Preferred Competencies

Training or coursework in mathematics pedagogy.

Applicant will teach mathematics courses at Navasota High School for Blinn College. Applicant must be a current Navasota ISD faculty.
