Adjunct for the Graduate Nursing Program
Allen College seeks applications for adjunct faculty for the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program for the 2026 spring term. The adjunct clinical faculty is supervised by the lead course faculty. Salary is commensurate with academic credentials, teaching experience, and scholarly work.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities include:
- Provides instruction and supervision for assigned students.
- Assists faculty member in evaluation of students’ progress and competency.
- Provides a positive role model and professional attitude toward students and the teaching process.
- Maintains confidentiality in accord with college/program policy.
- Works effectively with the daily mental and physical stresses of the job which includes, but not limited to meeting deadlines, attending meetings, completing compliance requirements, meeting and working with staff, faculty, students and the public.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess RN licensure in the state of Iowa as required by accreditation regulations.
- Minimum of a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in nursing or related field required.
- Nationally certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in program discipline or 2 years recent clinical experience in area of teaching.
