Duties & Responsibilities

Summary:

The School of Life Sciences and Sustainability (SLSS) in the College of Humanities and Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants for the fall 2025 semester and onward for possible adjunct teaching positions. SLSS will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs in any given semester. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises. Your credentials will remain active for one year from this position’s posting date. After that time, if you are still interested in adjunct teaching, you must reapply to the pool. Note, we are unable to hire applicants who are not already in the pool.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology, Cellular and/or Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology (Animal or plant), Molecular, Molecular Genetics, Biology or a closely related degree with class work in General Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
