Job Description

Adjunct instructors are appointed quarter to quarter based on student enrollment.

Salary for each course depends on level of education and number of credits taught.

The College may schedule accounting courses during mornings, afternoons, evenings, or online utilizing various modes of instruction, including face-to-face, hybrid, or online. You may view accounting course descriptions, class schedules and the college catalog on the college website.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE:

Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education student, and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. Green River's service areas are increasingly ethnically diverse, comprising African Americans, African immigrants, Asian Americans, Asians, Latinx, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Middle Eastern Americans, among other communities.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis. For 300- and 400-level accounting classes, a masters degree, active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

CPA license, CMA credential, Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, two year's work experience in accounting, experience using Excel and QuickBooks, successful teaching experience at the college level.
