Adjunct Instructor, Communication and/or Journalism-Scripps College of Communication, OHIO Online
Job Description
Scripps College is hiring up to (2) adjunct instructors. Instructors will teach undergraduate level courses associated with the Scripps College of Communication online degree programs. This position will be a maximum FTE of .2 and only utilized as needed to teach full term 15-week courses or 7-week accelerated courses (summer session only).
Candidates should be familiar with current trends in the discipline of Communication and/or Journalism. Of particular interest are candidates with academic or professional experience in at least one of the following: journalism media trends, ethics, communication studies, public speaking, persuasion.
Candidates must have the interpersonal and technical skills to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students in an online environment.
Courses available:
- JOUR 4130 Gender, Race, and Class in Journalism and Mass Media
- COMS 1030 Public Speaking
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in related field or extensive related professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in related industry.
Experience teaching communication or journalism courses.
