The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in managing projects across various industries and a strong passion for mentoring students through their academic journey toward PMP certification attainment. Topics covered include project planning, risk management, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, stakeholder communication, and agile methodologies. • Assessment: Design and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams that assess students' understanding of project management concepts, including areas critical for PMP certification.
  • Student Engagement: Provide individualized feedback and support, ensuring students are on track with their professional development and PMP exam readiness.
  • Networking: Encourage and facilitate networking among students, inviting guest speakers, and engaging with alumni to help students gain insight into the project management field.
  • Industry-Relevant Content: Stay up to date with the latest project management trends, tools, and technologies to provide students with the most relevant, industry-based knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Experience: Proven experience managing projects in a professional capacity, with a broad understanding of project management across different industries. Teaching or mentoring experience, ideally in a higher education setting or professional development environment. Demonstrated expertise in both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Skills: Ability to teach complex project management concepts in an engaging and practical manner. Strong mentorship and coaching abilities, with a focus on preparing students for professional certification. Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Asana, or similar software. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching certification or experience with online teaching platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas).
  • Experience with corporate training or consulting in project management.
  • PMP Exam preparation coaching or course delivery experience.
  • Industry-specific experience in fields such as construction, IT, healthcare, or engineering.

Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume/CV, a cover letter detailing their project management experience, teaching philosophy, and how they plan to mentor students toward PMP certification.
