Job Description
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part-time adjunct faculty teaching in the Psychology & Human Services department.
Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the college's needs.
Successful candidates will have previous experience teaching undergraduate psychology and/or human services courses such as General Psychology, Human Development, Human Service Organizations, or Abnormal Psychology.
Primary responsibilities include developing and teaching one (1) to three (3) courses per semester at the introductory and/or advanced level.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in the discipline, or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline, is required.
- Teaching experience is required; preferably at the community college level.
- Comfort with technology and teaching in multiple modalities such as face-to-face, online, and Hyflex is preferred.
- Experience with learning or other assessment also preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
