Job Summary/Basic Function

POSITION SUMMARY

Central State University invites applications for adjunct instructor positions in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The adjunct instructor position is a term-to-term appointment.

DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach a wide variety of mathematics or computer science courses.
• Undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
• Ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared, and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
• Provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.

Minimum Qualifications

• A master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate studies in mathematics or related fields.
• Strong written and oral communications skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience and command of instructional technology is highly desirable.
