- Teach all course levels offered at MCCC (Mercer County Community College)
- Prepare class lectures, assignments, and activities as per course outline. Administer student, course and self-assessments and report results
- Responsible for the delivery of class material, the timely submission of student grades, and ongoing participation with goals set by the discipline coordinator. Address student questions and concerns
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Teach students how to maintain and operate audio and other technical equipment and systems
- Teach students the basic elements of sound design for theatre and dance productions
- Inform students of the technical aspects of theatre including event load in, set-ups, and strikes
- Supervise projects that could include rigging and strike of events and productions - including theatre productions, symphonies, dance events and other productions to prepare students for future opportunities within their field
- Show students how to read and interpret scripts, drawings, and plots
- Demonstrate skills from an assortment of sound software applications such as SMAAER, Logic ProX, ProTools, Qlab, etc.
Qualifications: Master's degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree required.
Teaching and/or experience in the field preferred.
