About the Role

We are recruiting for an Admin Assistant/Receptionist to join us in the Health and Lifestyle Research Unit. You will join an experienced administrative team, providing a professional and courteous service.

The role consists of two key areas of support. On the Admin Assistant side, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the efficient operational running of our unit, supporting colleagues with the delivery of health and lifestyle services. On the Receptionist side, you will be crucial in creating a welcoming environment and will create a helpful, positive experience to all visitors to our Unit.

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be based on site. However, that does not reduce our commitment in trying to provide flexibility, where possible, to enable candidates to balance any commitments outside of work.

About You

As first point of contact for the Unit, you will set the tone for how we engage with stakeholders. Therefore, you will be driven by providing an engaging, customer-focused service, developed through your background in a front of house capacity.

You will see this role as an opportunity to build upon your current, demonstrable experiences in providing a full range of administrative duties. Any previous involvement in financial administration (purchase orders, etc.) is beneficial, but we will provide training if you do not have this.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six research centres and the Centre for Public Health & Policy (CPHP) draws together groups focusing on women’s health, global public health, the national diet, and individual health and lifestyle
