The Teaching Quality Assurance and Review Office (TQARO) is seeking applications for a full-time Quality Assurance Officer to join our small team of central quality assurance practitioners. It provides an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the School’s infrastructure and support key processes administered by the Academic Registrar’s Division.
Candidates should have:
- Experience of working in Higher Education.
- An ability to develop both a broad understanding of national quality assurance issues and a good general understanding of other service areas within TQARO.
- An advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases.
- Ability to understand and convey (both in written and oral form) complex information in a clear, effective and (where required) sensitive manner to all staff and students.
- Ability to write in simple, clear and correct English.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to provide accurate advice and guidance to internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining good customer relations with staff at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to provide information and/or advice on complex procedures.
- Experience working to satisfy service level agreements and established milestones/objectives.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise day-to-day work in accordance with deadlines and agreed objectives.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to prioritise time effectively.
- Ability to plan and manage small projects and cyclical work patterns, ensuring the effective use of resources.
