Job Description
The Administrative and Student Support Project Coordinator provides project coordination related to internal marketing and communication; student support for thesis and dissertation editorial oversight; and executive-level office support for Graduate School operations, including supervisory responsibilities with student workers. Reporting directly to the Dean, this position supports the Graduate School office and serves as the Graduate School liaison with the Office of Advancement and Office of Marketing and Communications. The person in this role collaborates with campus partners to ensure accurate data management, effective system workflows, and coordinated support of recruitment, marketing, and student success initiatives.
This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

- Oversee student communications and notifications.
- Internal Communication Coordination.
- Internal / ISU communication support.
- Social Media Content.
- ISU Calendars.
- Specific event needs.
- Press Releases.
- Photography organization.
- Attendance Records.
- Manage content coordination for the Graduate School Newsletter.
- Website overview.
- Student Awards.
- Support student awards processes, including coordination, tracking, and documentation.
- Coordinate communication and information flow with Development/Advancement related to student funding and engagement initiatives.
- Executive Office Support.
- Provide general office and project support for the Graduate School, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up on priority initiatives.
- Office Management.
- Finances related to events and other delegated activities.
- Scheduling.
- Travel for Graduate School staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in communications, education, marketing, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience providing administrative, project coordination, or operational support in a higher education or similarly complex organizational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working with enterprise systems, databases, or workflow tools (e.g., student information systems, document management platforms, or project management software).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate across departments and communicate with senior leadership.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with standard office software and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Graduate School, Registrar's Office, or academic affairs setting.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply academic policy related to graduation, degree clearance, and thesis/dissertation requirements.
- Familiarity with student information systems such as Banner and related admissions or records platforms.
- Experience supporting student records, admissions, enrollment, or graduation processes.
- Experience with data tracking, reporting, and performance metrics related to recruitment or marketing.
- Familiarity with DocuSign or other electronic forms and approval workflow systems.
- Experience supporting student awards, scholarships, or funding-related processes.
- Experience providing executive-level administrative support.
- Experience serving as a liaison with Development/Advancement and/or Marketing and Communications.
- Demonstrated interest in systems testing, workflow optimization, or process improvement initiatives.
Additional Information

Salary will be between $53,000 and $58,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
