The Counseling Center at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant position.
This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of client reception and clerical work-flow for the St. Catherine University Counseling Center. Clerical work-flow includes tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day office business, the maintenance of office procedures and records, and some project management. The person in this position is the first contact for the clients in the Counseling Center and involves answering basic questions about services for students, faculty, staff, and the other community members. Due to the nature of the counseling profession, the person in this position may occasionally be required to interact with individuals who are experiencing emotional distress. The position deals with sensitive client issues and requires meticulous attention to maintenance of client confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reception skills: ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a personable way when interacting with community members.
- Ability to handle interruptions.
- Excellent typing, data management, project management, word processing, grammar and spelling.
- Superior organizational abilities.
- Must know word processing, data entry, Excel, Qualtrics, Google Forms, and website management,.
- Must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in a professional manner.
- Must be knowledgeable with basic computer and printer operation.
- Must be skilled in working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in university or college settings.
- Experience working with electronic health records systems.

Compensation: Annual wage is $32,531-$43,056 depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a full-time (0.92 FTE) position. Employees working .50 - 1.0 FTE are eligible to accrue sick time prorated based on their FTE status if less than a 1.0 FTE
The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
