What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For
This is a temporary position currently funded through June 30, 2033.
Location: Capitol Park - 9700 Capitol Highway, Suite 260, Portland Oregon.
Work Schedule - Hybrid - working from home and the office. Mondays and Fridays work from home and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at the office.
Portland Community College's Office of Planning and Construction seeks an Administrative Assistant (AA). Administrative competence is important, but more important is an enthusiasm and interest for providing an exceptional service experience to PCC students, partners and internal stakeholders.
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to a dynamic, project-focused department. This position will assist with office scheduling, meeting coordination and event planning, general office administration and more to help maintain the forward momentum of the department.
The Administrative Assistant works directly with the Operations Manager to provide a broad range of support functions requiring judgment and discretion, and liaises with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to perform an array of administrative duties including purchasing, reporting and assisting with project management. The Administrative Assistant works well both independently and as part of a team, responding to a variety of situations and providing direction and/or assistance in resolving issues that may be sensitive and confidential.

Minimum Qualifications:
Training and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED®.
Five years of responsible administrative support experience (college or business school training may be substituted for up to two years of the experience requirement).
Other combinations of experience, education and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with employees at all levels,

- Use computer applications at an advanced level including Microsoft and Google applications, Workday, and internal data management, and advanced proficiency utilizing a variety of technical modalities, video conferencing/virtual meeting platforms, and other data management systems.
- Experience developing, tracking, and monitoring budgetary expenditures and other fiscal reporting needs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of independent research, analysis activities and present findings to advance strategic priorities, utilizing charts, graphs and multimedia as needed.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Experience serving as a direct point of contact as an administrative liaison with other offices, individuals, and external institutions and agencies on a range of issues and coordination.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement
The first two steps of the range are: $58,180 to $59,923 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity. (Full range $58,180 to $93,358)
