Augustana University invites applications for the position of Admission Operations and Transfer Specialist within the Enrollment Division. This full-time position plays a vital role in the undergraduate admission process by supporting both operational efforts and direct outreach to prospective transfer students. The ideal candidate will be a student-centered, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is committed to helping students achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate admission and scholarship decisions to first-year and transfer students.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated group of prospective transfer students throughout their application and enrollment journey.
• Process and manage student applications and documents using Slate and other systems; run reports and assist with data management.
• Prepare and distribute admission packets and scholarship notifications.
• Collaborate with campus partners, including the Registrar and Student Success Offices, to support incoming transfer students.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of on-campus admission events and recruitment efforts.
• Occasionally represent Augustana University at college fairs and off-campus events.
• Supervise and provide direction to student staff and coordinate with internal enrollment teams.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
• Comfort with learning and working within multiple databases and platforms.

Preferred:

• Experience in higher education, especially related to transfer admission, customer service, or database systems (Slate, Jenzabar, TES).
• Familiarity with financial aid and scholarship processes.

Interacting with students, faculty, and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and culture must be a top value of the candidate.
