Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment. This is a position that requires someone with great organizational and communication skills. You must enjoy being around people and focused on results. The ideal candidate should have experience in customer service, sales, management, or recruiting.
Duties
- Helping students make informed decisions about enrolling in the school. This involves getting to know students and their goals by asking plenty of questions.
- Building rapport with students to help them decide on courses, class dates, overcoming obstacles that may prevent them from taking a class.
- You will be making calls to potential students and answering questions about the curriculum, schedule, tuition, student services.
- You must be very comfortable being on the phone for long periods of time. This will involve engaging in conversations and managing time wisely.
- You will be interviewing students in person or virtually and giving tours of the school. This will be done by setting up your appointments, motivating students to show up to their school visits, being persistent and tracking your student visitors.
- Assist students with the enrollment process by helping them complete admission forms and verifying all documents. This involves discussing tuition, payment plans, financial aid options, and collecting the necessary documents to process a student enrollment.
- Provide advice and support to students who have schedule conflicts or need assistance with payment methods.
- Motivating your students as needed, checking on them weekly to make sure they are making progress. This will be done by interacting with them daily, taking pictures, videos of them working in class and help promote the content on social media pages.
- Data Entry / keeping Excel lists updated. You will need to update monthly spreadsheets to track your performance for management.
- Plan monthly strategies to reach students and improve the admission process at the school.
- Organize career fairs or student appreciation days to motivate new students.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of previous experience in school admissions or the sales industry.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Marketing, Business, or Sociology.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate yourself and others. You will be a role model to students.
- Experience making outbound calls where building rapport with customers has been necessary.
- Experience handling rejection on the phone or in person and overcoming these obstacles by remaining focused and determined.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills. You must sound confident and professional when speaking with others.
- The ability to work independently and organize your week in the most productive way possible.
- Positive and upbeat personality with high energy, (no low energy)
- You must be bilingual / speak English and Spanish fluently (your Spanish will be tested)
- Extroverted Personality who is very comfortable being around others.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5:30pm, Friday or Saturday 9am to 4pm. You will alternate a work day on Friday or Saturday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
