Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Following a reorganisation to form an integrated team, we are excited to announce several key roles. The newly formed Takitoru - Communications, Marketing and Digital Engagement Group at Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University Wellington are currently recruiting for an Adviser, Marketing on a permanent, full-time basis.
The group will play a pivotal role in enhancing the University's reputation and supporting its strategic goals through targeted, innovative, and effective communications and marketing. This Group will foster greater collaboration, unified messaging, and enhanced creativity to engage our many audiences.
As the Adviser, Marketing you will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Marketing with developing and maintaining high quality marketing initiatives to support the recruitment of new students to the University.
Key responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support the setup, execution, and monitoring of automated Marketo campaigns.
- Supporting the planning and building of lead nurture campaigns.
- Provide reporting and data insights to help improve the effectiveness of marketing activity across the University.
- Manage current and implement new connectors and APIs to improve integration between Marketo and other systems.
- Develop training materials to help upskill marketing automation users, promoting best practices, and to assist onboarding new marketing automation users.
Ō pūmanawa – About you
You will be an experienced marketer, with strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a motivated self-starter, you can identify opportunities to continually improve how we engage with future students.
You have a passion for all things marketing and have a good understanding of how marketing technologies can be utilised throughout the marketing funnel. You will be enthusiastic about enhancing current platforms and processes and learning how to use new platforms.
Key requirements:
- Previous experience using a marketing automation platform (ideally Marketo) at administrator level.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys and lifecycle marketing.
- Experience building and managing API-driven workflows, including RESTful service integrations, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Proven experience planning and delivering end-to-end marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proven experience working under pressure, with competing deadlines.
