AmeriCorps Member serving in the Robinson Community Learning Center's Theater Programs
The Robinson Community Learning Center (RCLC) is an off-campus educational initiative of the University of Notre Dame that promotes innovation and excellence in South Bend. AmeriCorps members support programs including preschool classrooms, after-school tutoring, Shakespeare and drama integration, senior outreach, and more.
Specific responsibilities include assisting with Theater Lab activities such as rehearsals, set preparation, performances, curriculum development, program evaluation, volunteer coordination, documentation, and special projects. Members attend weekly meetings.
Benefits include a living allowance ranging from $4,000 to $21,000 based on service hours, and an education award from $1,565 to $7,395 upon completion. Development opportunities include training in education, professional certifications, and collaboration with community partners.
