Chorus Assistant

Pay rate: $70/hour

Responsibilities

• Help set up the display and audio systems, piano in preparation for the rehearsals 5-10 minutes before the start of the rehearsals.
• Prepare and study the materials prior to rehearsals, including learning the vocal and accompaniment parts. Assistant is expected to be able to lead, demonstrate and conduct the vocal parts to the assigned groups.
• Work closely with the teaching team (Inge and one additional teacher) to maintain students' performance and behaviors during the rehearsals.
• Attend all dress rehearsals and performances and rehearse with solos if applicable.

2025-26 Rehearsal and Concert Dates

Weekly rehearsals (45 minutes each per week)

• 7/8s Chorus
• 8/9s Chorus
• 9/10s Chorus
• 10/11s Chorus

Dress Rehearsals and Performances:

• Winter Concert Dress Rehearsal (8/9s and 9/10s only): TBA 9:00-12:00
• 2 Winter Concert performances (8/9s and 9/10s only): TBA 1) 2:00-2:45 : 8/9s and 9/10s Choruses perform for the school community 2) 6:00-6:45: 8/9s and 9/10s Choruses perform for their families
• US Winter Dress Rehearsal
• US Winter Concert performances (afternoon and evening performances)
• 7/8s Chorus Dress Rehearsal: TBA (Time TBA - most likely in the morning for 45 minutes)
• 7/8s Chorus Spring Concert: TBA (8:00-8:20 AM)
• Spring Concert Dress Rehearsal (8/9s and 9/10s only): TBA 9:00-12:00
• 3 Spring Concert performances (8/9s and 9/10s only): TBA 1) 2:00-2:45 : 8/9s and 9/10s Choruses perform for the school community 2) 6:00-6:45: 8/9s and 9/10s Choruses perform for their families
