Position Summary
Aviator College is seeking a highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Instructor for our Kissimmee, Florida campus. This role is ideal for an experienced FAA-certificated Aircraft Mechanic who is passionate about education and committed to preparing students for successful completion of their FAA Aircraft Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
Under the general direction of the Director of Education, the instructor will deliver high-quality classroom instruction, support curriculum development, and ensure students meet all FAA Part 147 training standards and learning objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction aligned with FAA Part 147 regulations and Aviator College academic standards
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, formats, and learning styles to support diverse student populations
- Develop and maintain course materials, lesson plans, and instructional schedules
- Evaluate student performance and ensure achievement of course competencies and program outcomes
- Maintain accurate academic and administrative records in accordance with FAA and institutional requirements
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to promote a positive learning environment
- Foster a student-focused, professional, and safety-conscious culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Aircraft Maintenance program
Minimum Qualifications
DUE TO THE FAA REGULATIONS, APPLICANTS MUST MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS
- FAA-certificated Aircraft Mechanic with appropriate ratings for subjects taught
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P): Eligible to teach General, Airframe, and Powerplant courses
- Airframe only: Eligible to teach General and Airframe courses
- Powerplant only: Eligible to teach General and Powerplant courses
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Mechanic in Commercial, General, Military Aviation, or a combination
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an FAA-approved Part 147 AMT program (PREFERRED)
- Strong knowledge of GA aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, training standards, and instructional best practices

- On-campus instruction at the Kissimmee, FL campus
