Appointments Associate
The Appointment Associate serves as primary contact for Student Life Student Health Services customers, in person and by telephone, and routes to appropriate services. As a member of the Advice/Appointment team, schedules patient appointments within the electronic health record; interviews customers, enters information, determines eligibility, schedules appointments, and provides general SLSHS information and routes calls appropriately; facilitates completion of necessary patient forms and distributes to appropriate departments adjusts provider schedules and monitors appointment scheduling system; provides front desk support for special programs and assists with special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Per Classified Civil Svc Specs High School diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience; 1 year of relevant experience required. Keyboard experience (minimum 3 months). Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT coding.
Desired: 2-4 years of relevant experience, previous experience working in a health care setting; front-line and telephone customer service experience; knowledge of medical terminology.
Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen and background check.
Targeted hiring range is $15.86 to $20.74/hr. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the units available budget, and the selected candidates qualifications.
