"Arabic, German, Italian, Korean, and Persian - Part-Time Lecturer Pool"

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool to teach lower-division (100 and 200 level) undergraduate courses in Arabic, German, Italian, Korean, and Persian. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold at least a master's degree in the language of instruction or in a related field and possess native or native-like fluency in the language of instruction. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. This position requires the legal right to work in the United States of America. California State University, Fullerton cannot sponsor part-time faculty for work visas or permanent residence.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
