The Department of Electrical Engineering (Electrotechnics) is one of the most prestigious departments of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (NUSTPB), having a beautiful and long tradition in Romanian technical education. The academic staff has been permanently involved in the teaching process throughout the university and in advanced research activities strongly connected to the national and international scientific areas.
The teaching activities represent the central pillar of the department, being involved in all 15 faculties of the Bucharest NUSTPB center and having a rich portfolio of courses, both for the bachelor’s cycle and for the master's cycle. Our educational offer is supported by modernized, well-equipped laboratories and the topics proposed for bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The proposed job of “Asistent universitar, position 42” have the following seminar and laboratory duties, all in Romanian language: Electrotehnică; Bazele electrotehnicii 1; Bazele electrotehnicii 2; Informatică aplicată I.

Skills/Qualifications
- The candidate must have at least 3 scientific papers in extenso published in a journal / conference proceedings indexed in an international data basis [BDI], of reference for the position domain [journals quoted or indexed ISI Thomson Reuters - category A-CNCSIS; ISI Conference Procedures; B+-CNCSIS journals, other BDI], to occupy a position for an undetermined period
- Proof of psychopedagogical training programs in order to certify the competences for the teaching profession, corresponding to Level II of study (teaching qualification or equivalent)
- Experiences in curriculum and subject material development
- Ability to work well as an effective member of an education team and to share and encourage good practice in research and teaching
- Personal effectiveness, able to deliver high quality work and projects to deadlines, work efficiently and prioritise appropriately, and take individual responsibility for planning and undertaking work
- Knowledge of research methods to be able to supervise MSc and undergraduate student projects and critically appraise a wide range of relevant research, including data presentation and basic analysis
- Understanding of education methods and approaches
- Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills, in all formats, face to face, email, reports, written and for teaching
- Ambition in academic research pursuit

Competition period: 12.10.2026-14.10.2026, according to the schedule
Decision of the Competition Committee on the ranking of candidates, the nomination of the candidate who obtained the highest overall results, and the recommendation for appointment to the position: to be displayed at the premises of the Department where the competition was held by 14 October 2026.
Approval by the Faculty Council of the Competition Committee’s Report: by 20 October 2026.
Approval by the University Senate of the Competition Committee’s Report on the outcome of the competition: by 22 October 2026.
