Job Summary
The Associate Director of Recruitment serves as a key leader in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by assisting the Director in the development and implementation of a strategic and collaborative recruitment plan. The Associate Director is responsible for leading recruitment team members to meet enrollment goals through the recruitment and enrollment of all new undergraduate students, including first-year, dual-enrolled, transfer, international, nondegree, and former students. The Associate Director provides collaborative leadership, exceptional communication, technological expertise, and a commitment to students and education. This position is responsible for leading the creation of electronic communications and print materials, and assists heavily in recruitment event planning and execution.
Responsibilities
LEAD THE UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS RECRUITMENT STAFF:
Supervise four Assistant Directors to include Freshman Recruitment, Regional Recruitment, Dual Enrollment, and Admissions Communications. Provide strategic and daily work direction for recruitment staff. Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and provide ongoing development and mentorship for staff members, student employees, and volunteers. Approve recruitment travel plans and budgets. Ensure staff are performing to their highest ability to meet goals and complete tasks/projects in a timely manner. Serve as a champion for exceptional student and family service in the recruitment and process.
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES TO MEET NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT GOALS:
Set data-informed, strategic recruitment plans that align with best practices and institutional priorities. Develop and execute a territory management model of recruitment with program-specific yield conversion plans. Assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make appropriate adjustments to meet goals while ensuring they align with institutional goals for unique student populations and academic quality. Collaborate with the university Marketing and Communications to ensure brand integrity and seamless recruitment messaging that aligns with institutional messaging. Co-design and implement a comprehensive and personalized communication plan to promote Augusta University's distinct culture, academic programs, and quality of student life to prospective students, applicants, family members, high school counselors, and other stakeholders.
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT RECRUITMENT:
Remain current in recruitment and marketing best practices as well as national, regional, and state trends, maintaining membership and active participation in professional organizations and USG working groups. Develop relationships with external constituents, including secondary school counselors and administrators. Collaborate with Slate team members to ensure system optimization and staff training that meet departmental needs. Meet with AU campus constituents to develop targeted recruitment and communication efforts to meet academic college and student service unit needs.
MANAGE SPECIAL PROGRAM AND POPULATION RECRUITMENT EFFORTS:
Oversee the planning and implementation of recruitment initiatives for targeted freshman populations to include (but not limited to) the Jaguar Jumpstart summer entry program, Professional Scholars programs, and the Honors Program. Assist in transfer student recruitment strategy and planning, collaborating with capacity-limited program managers and local feeder colleges. Provide oversight into on-campus and in-high school dual enrollment planning and recruitment, collaborating with secondary school counselors and administrators, as well as AU academic college leaders. Maintain close relationships and collaborative planning for the recruitment of student-athletes, former students, transient students, post-baccalaureate students, and other special student types.
PERFORM DATA ANALYSIS AND ENROLLMENT PROJECTIONS:
Create and maintain updated enrollment projections and funnel goals by student type per term. Analyze and interpret historical university admission and enrollment patterns and trends to guide recruitment decisions and efforts. Utilize USG and institutional data to understand system and institutional enrollment, transfer, and competition trends.
ADDITIONAL:
Serve and actively engage on various institution, division, and unit committees to contribute to overall undergraduate student enrollment, retention, and success. These include, but are not limited to, the Enrollment Management Council, the Division of Enrollment & Student Affairs Directors Team, the Enrollment Management Leadership Team, Fall Cohort Planning teams, and other advisory and student success teams as they relate to this position. Assist with departmental budget planning and management. Serve as second-in-command to the Director.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in admissions, higher education, or related field to include two years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience in Technolutions Slate CRM. Experience in designing and implementing college recruitment communication plans. Experience in college recruitment or territory management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of the standard business hours may be required)
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
