Assistant Administrator
About the role
We’re looking for an organised and customer‑focused Assistant Administrator to support the smooth delivery of our academic programmes and placement activity. Working as a key member of our administrative team, you’ll help coordinate day‑to‑day operations, maintain accurate records, produce essential documentation, and provide a responsive front‑line service to students, staff, and external partners. You’ll play an important role in ensuring our processes run efficiently and in line with University regulations, professional guidelines, and legislative requirements; contributing to a high‑quality, supportive, and compliant service environment.
You will:
- Deliver flexible, customer‑focused front‑line administrative support.
- Produce accurate documents and maintain essential records.
- Provide clear advice and timely responses to students, partners, and stakeholders.
- Use University systems to collate, input, and maintain data.
- Work collaboratively to meet service needs while ensuring compliance with University policies
For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2027 due to Business Demand.

We’re currently unable to sponsor this role under the Skilled Worker visa route. However, we welcome applicants who already have the right to work in the UK, including those on visa routes we can accept (e.g. Graduate visas).
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in a customer service or office environment, with a good understanding of administrative processes.
- Confident use of Office 365 and the ability to produce accurate documents and maintain records.
- Numeracy and literacy at secondary education level (or equivalent demonstrable experience).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work effectively.
