Assistant, Admissions Records
Job Summary
Reporting to the assigned department leader, this role is responsible for assisting with academic record maintenance, education verification, report generation, and graduation processing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
• Maintains and updates student academic records in accordance with institutional policies, FERPA requirements, and established procedures
• Coordinates end-of-semester academic processing activities, including grade reporting, academic standing calculations, and related record updates
• Generates routine and ad-hoc reports from student information and reporting systems; reviewing results to ensure accuracy and appropriate follow-up actions
• Processes and fulfills education and enrollment verification requests accurately and within established timeframes
Service Excellence
• Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
• Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED and one (1) year's working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher
- At least one (1) year's working experience performing the Essential Performance Requirements in a higher education environment
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with Access for report data manipulation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Ability to identify routine issues and escalate non-standard problems using established procedures in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to review basic information and follow policies, procedures, and guidelines when completing assigned tasks

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
