Online & Graduate Admissions Representative
Summary
This position will provide exceptional service and support to prospective students of SAU’s online and graduate programs throughout the entirety of the enrollment funnel, from initial contact through registration. This includes contacting prospective students via multiple channels, walking students through the application process, assisting students in submitting all admissions documents, and communicating with students throughout the admissions process. This representative is being hired to specifically recruit students in our nursing programs, but may be asked to recruit other areas as needed. This position does require some travel, with about 20 to 30% of the time potentially being on the road.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Takes ownership for hitting recruitment goals
- Independently manages time and resources to maximize student recruitment
- Develops extensive knowledge of academic programs and their requirements and student outcomes
- Communicates actively with prospective students by phone, email, text, or visits to move them through the enrollment process
- Discusses program fit, admissions requirements, next steps, transfer guidelines, licensure process, and counsels’ students throughout the admissions process
- Walks students through the admissions process up to registration
- Willing to meet with students virtually to answer questions regarding student’s desired program
- Answers complex questions regarding university policies, start dates, and deadlines
- Identifies new ways to become more effective and efficient in new student recruiting and new student services
- Documents all conversations and interactions with students in the CRM
- Quickly builds rapport with students and has the ability to discover students’ interests to match them with the right SAU program
- Provides excellent customer service and an exceptional student experience
- Identifies organizations for partnerships and develops collaborative relationships with them
- Keeps resources up-to-date and effectively problem solve to find solutions for issues that arise
- Develops relationships at various hospitals and health centers for the purpose of supporting recruiting goals
- Maintains a monthly travel schedule to build relationships and increase enrollment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, this individual must be a motivated, dynamic self-starter. The candidate should love working with students and have a passion for exceptional customer service. This individual should be someone who cares about education and can relate to a working adult population. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must; strong work ethic and teachability are critical. Experience with Excel and Word are required with previous experience using a CRM preferred. Must be able to multitask and manage a high contact volume while still maintaining excellent customer service. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least two years’ experience preferred in a sales or admissions
- Experience in the healthcare environment preferred
