Assistant/Associate Professor 10 Months, Department of Psychology, Fall 2026 *Multiple Positions*

Psychology (Multiple Positions) - The Department of Psychology invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions from research-active educators to support undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology. Successful candidates will teach core curriculum classes and specialized courses aligned with their research expertise. Areas of specialty include experimental psychology and tests/measurements, social psychology, forensic psychology, marriage and family therapy, and clinical psychology/psychiatric rehabilitation. Faculty may teach courses in general psychology, statistics, experimental psychology, assessment and treatment in clinical settings, psychiatric rehabilitation, social psychology and the psychology of prejudice and racism. In addition to teaching, faculty members will devote time to advancing research, advising students, and contributing to departmental and university service.
Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Psychology or a pertinent related field with experience in conducting research and a minimum of one year of college teaching experience is required. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a college environment is preferred. Candidates considered for a position in clinical psychology/psychiatric rehabilitation must have a doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field along with experience in inpatient treatment and have eligibility for licensure, or current licensure, as a psychologist in New Jersey. Candidates considered for a position in marriage and family therapy must have an earned doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field and must be eligible for licensure, or have current licensure, as an MFT in New Jersey.
Candidates must have an established and active independent research record that supports publication in peer reviewed journals or publication venues appropriate for the discipline and a strong agenda for future research. ABD candidates will be considered with degree completion by September 1, 2026.

In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $80,436.03 - $103,900.98. Faculty rank is considered when making an offer. Salaries for internal applicants who are aligned under a collective bargaining unit will be determined in accordance with contractual guidelines. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
