POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Management in the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Artificial Intelligence and Management, starting on August 28, 2026. Candidates holding tenure at their current institutions are invited to apply. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching explore the integration of AI technologies with core areas of management such as organizational behavior, strategic leadership, entrepreneurship, project management, or human resource management.
The successful candidate will contribute to both undergraduate and graduate programs in management, entrepreneurship, and HR, and play a key role in developing innovative, future-focused courses—such as AI in Organizational Behavior, Human-AI Collaboration, and Strategic Leadership Analytics. Applicants should demonstrate potential for impactful scholarship as well as excellence in teaching. The ability to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and community-engaged scholarship is also highly desirable. In addition, the candidate is expected to contribute to service activities at the department, school, and university levels, and to engage in outreach with the broader business community.
THE DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT
The Department of Management is a dynamic and growing unit within the Feliciano School of Business. With strengths in strategy, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and HR, the department is committed to preparing students for leadership in a rapidly evolving business environment. Our curriculum emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and the application of theory to real-world challenges. The department offers a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Management, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Human Capital Management, a minor in Entrepreneurship, two graduate certificate programs in Human Resources Management and Project Management, as well as three undergraduate certificate programs in Entrepreneurship, Innovation Design, and Neuroinclusive Practice and Leadership. The department also supports the MBA Program and the MS in Human Resources Analytics program, teaching both required (core and concentration-specific) and elective graduate courses.
Enrollment in management programs has surged in recent years, and students increasingly seek coursework in technology, data, and AI applications in business. The department supports this interest through new program development, strong industry partnerships, and faculty who blend scholarly rigor with practical relevance.
THE FELICIANO SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
The mission of the Feliciano School of Business is to transform today’s students into tomorrow’s business leaders. The School, which is accredited by AACSB International, offers distinctive programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level including a BS in Business Analytics, BS in Business Administration (ten concentrations), BS in Accounting, BA in Economics, MBA, MS in Accounting, MS Business Analytics, MS Digital Marketing Analytics, MS Human Resource Analytics, and various graduate level certificates and minors and certificates for non-business students. Nearly 105 full-time faculty and 35 staff members bring an impressive range of expertise to the School, with terminal degrees and advanced training from leading universities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A PhD in Management or a closely related discipline is required by the start date.
- Research agenda that addresses AI in organizational contexts or related emerging technologies in management.
- Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching.
- Interest or experience in interdisciplinary collaboration is preferred.

Salary Range
$130,000.00-$160,000.00 Annually
