Position
Summary:
Brewton-Parker Christian University seeks a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of English to begin August 1, 2026.
This position involves teaching a diverse range of undergraduate courses, including general education core courses and courses within the
Humanities Division and degrees. Faculty at BPCU are expected to integrate a biblical worldview into teaching and to mentor students in both
scholarship and faith development. Instruction will primarily take place on the main campus in Mount Vernon, Georgia. Applicants may be
asked to teach within the University’s Dual Enrollment program at local partnering high schools (average 33 miles from campus, with mileage
reimbursement). There are also opportunities for interested instructors to teach at one of the University’s off-site prison education
locations.
Qualifications:
Required
Master’s degree in English, Language Arts,
Literature, Rhetoric, or a related field.
Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the required teaching field or demonstrated equivalent
experience, in accordance with SACSCOC credentialing standards.
Active Christian faith and willingness to integrate biblical perspectives
into instruction.
Preferred
Doctorate (Ph.D.) in English or a related field.
