The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in the Department of Management and Decision Sciences at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2026.

The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching, research, and service. The expected teaching areas for this colleague will be in operations management, with a secondary teaching area in business statistics or decision analysis. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester. Course delivery modalities may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be required to engage in scholarship that results in quality publications. The position also requires service activities on behalf of the college, university, community and profession consistent with those expected of an Assistant/Associate professor.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB accredited institution in operations management, supply chain management, management science or a related discipline. A.B.D. candidates with a clear plan for completion by August 2026 are also encouraged to apply. A candidate with a completed Ph.D./D.B.A. must have a consistent record of publication in quality refereed journals.

Accredited by AACSB International, the Wall College of Business serves more than 3000 graduate and undergraduate students, and has faculty members represented by six academic disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Hospitality, Resort, and Tourism Management. The Management and Decision Sciences department serves over 800 majors across six concentrations: General Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Human Resource Management, International Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Organizational Leadership. Preferred Qualifications
PhD or DBA in operations management, supply chain management, management science or a related discipline or a related field from an AACSB or regionally-accredited institution.

Job Duties

• Teaches students in the classroom, laboratory, and/or studio.
• Prepares content, syllabi, and University Moodle/curricular site for each course and/or lab assigned each semester. Communicates to students after reviewing assignments. Calculates and assigns grades (e.g., mid-term and final) through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University catalog. Tracks and reports absences as directed by the Office of the Registrar.
• Conducts research to create and add to knowledge in a field or produces creative work. Trains students in related research techniques and in creative production.
• Posts and holds regular office hours each week per College and University guidelines. Engages in University-related activities including committee assignments, meetings, ceremonies, events and scholarly pursuits as prescribed in the Faculty Manual.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
