"Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing"

The Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise at Florida Southern College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Marketing at the rank of assistant or associate professor for Fall 2026. Responsibilities include 1) teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing, to include topics such as Marketing Research and Consumer Behavior in the undergraduate program, and Marketing Strategy in the MBA program, 2) publishing peer-reviewed scholarly research, and 3) providing service to the school, college, and profession.

The normal teaching load is three undergraduate four-hour courses per semester, or two 4-hour undergraduate courses and one 3-hour MBA course. Note that while publication of peer-reviewed research in quality journals is expected and required, research expectations also take into consideration a 3 course per semester teaching load. Faculty members are expected to be actively engaged with students outside of the classroom. An interest in and appreciation for free enterprise and entrepreneurial values is important.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited institution and be a "Scholarly Academic” consistent with AACSB standards, and have an established research program underway with the ability to publish in quality peer-reviewed journals. Teaching excellence, engaged learning, an applied orientation, and a high level of collegiality are valued and expected of all Florida Southern College faculty.
