Assistant/Associate Professor - School of Environment, Geography and Sustainability - Tenure Track
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in geography and environmental studies, including introduction to geospatial technologies, cartographic design and geovisualization, remote sensing, unoccupied aircraft systems (UAS) applications and geographic inquiry /research.
- Develop an active, externally-funded research program.
- Serve on MS (Geography) thesis committees.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Serve on Department Committees.
- Other duties as determined and assigned by the Director of SEGS.
- Advances inclusion of all people through publication, teaching and or service in academic or related settings.
- PhD in Geography or related discipline from an accredited institution, with specialization in GIScience, awarded by August 14, 2026.
- Ability to teach introductory geospatial technologies, cartographic design, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and UAS applications.
- Ability to conduct research using geospatial technologies (GIscience and UAS).
