Position Summary

The assistant coach/goalie coach for SUNY Cortland Men’s & Women’s Soccer assists in all aspects of the administration and operation of a nationally competitive athletic program. This is a part-time level 3, 25% coaching position with a 9.5 month obligation (8/1-5/15).

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the head coach with all matters pertaining to the total operation of the Goalie Coach Men’s & Women’s Soccer program at SUNY Cortland.
• Demonstrate effective coaching through content knowledge, practice construction and execution.
• Instruct student athletes in physical health, individual/team concepts, and safety.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, SUNYAC and SUNY Cortland rules.
• Assess academic performance of student athletes.
