Pay Range: $62,400 - $63,000

Hours: Standard University business hours.
8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)
Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

The Assistant Coach will assist the head coach/program in all aspects of coaching the field hockey team including but not limited to assistance with organization of practices, management, recruiting, player development, scouting reports, physiological analysis, budget, event and equipment management.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent with experience).
• NCAA collegiate or international hockey experience highly recommended.
• Coach education certificate through USAFH and/or FIH preferred.
• Data analytics/load management knowledge preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications:

Skills and Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, with the ability to recruit high level SA.
• Familiarity with training loads.
• Ability to multi-task and meet requirements under pressure and willingness to work extended hours.
• Able to work efficient with many different individuals and be responsive to a variety of requests.
• Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
• Competency in technology, video equipment, data analytics.
• Good organizational, communication and computer skills.
• Strong commitment and ability to work well with student-athletes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Development & recruitment of student-athletes. Includes but is not limited to individual technical development, small group training, tactical planning, scouting of opponents, educational sessions with student-athletes as well as helping to develop and coach team dynamics and individual leadership.
• Management of program roles both on the road and at home. Academics, equipment, team travel, recruiting, S/C, AT, or other areas of campus communication.
• Assisting with training/game management, video usage, setup & breakdown.
• Scouting and data analytics.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
