Assistant Director- Pathology Admin- FT Day Shift
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for administration, programmatic and personnel management, development, productivity, materials management and regulatory compliance. The Manager facilitates the delivery of high quality, efficient, cost effective and relevant clinical services while assuring that the laboratory maintains a patient/customer/client focus.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualification as a technical supervisor under CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act)
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
- Five years of management experience within a complex healthcare setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Current CA License or Certification
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Certification in Anatomic Pathology
- Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare related field
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Management experience in an academic/laboratory setting
- Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
