Assistant Director Softball Player Development
Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Player Development supports the Ole Miss Softball program by coordinating and enhancing student‑athlete development on and off the field. This role focuses on skill development, performance analysis, academic and personal growth support, and alignment with the program’s competitive and cultural standards.
Job Description
This role assists with skill instruction, video and data review, performance programming, and overall player support to help maximize each student‑athlete’s potential while upholding team and university standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist coaches in creating and implementing individualized development plans for student‑athletes, focusing on technical, tactical, and mental skills.
- Support position‑specific and team drills during practices, emphasizing fundamentals, competitive standards, and game situational awareness.
- Coordinate small‑group or individual skill sessions as directed by the coaching staff.
- Support the planning and execution of team meetings, film sessions, and development workshops.
- Help maintain a positive, accountable, and inclusive team environment that aligns with Ole Miss and Ole Miss Softball values.
- Assist with camps, clinics, and community engagement events as directed.
