The Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator is responsible for all phases of the program including organization and administration, quality student-athlete development and recruitment, fiscal management, viable fund raising and public relations, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
Salary & Benefits:
Minimum starting salary of $65,000, commensurate with experience

Primary Duties
- Development, preparation and coordination of offensive philosophy, culture, strategy, practice, and game plans.
- Provide on-field instruction to players.
- Coach players individually and in groups, monitor academic progress, and ensure athletes meet conduct and culture standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and recruit talented student-athletes who meet the university's academic and athletic requirements.
- Assist with camp coordination and other program fundraising needs.
- Ensure the program adheres to all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
- Serve as an GVSU ambassador, engage with media, and participate in fundraising and community events.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience recruiting and coaching at the collegiate or equivalent level.
- A thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athletes and NCAA compliance with the highest ethical standards.
- Driving a company/university vehicle may be required. A valid drivers license is a requirement and a MVR needs to be conducted upon hire.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience coaching quarterbacks at the collegiate or commensurate level.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Nights, weekends, and travel are required.
