TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, under all points of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).
Applicants under all points of the Call must enclose the following:
- CV;
- the relevant diploma or certificate attesting to the required level of academic qualifications;
- proof of nationality (a photocopy of the certificate of nationality or identity card).
The applicants applying under point 4 of the Call must satisfy the following conditions:
- a completed university graduate study programme in Chemistry;
Additional conditions:
- experience using experimental technique of x-ray diffraction (XRD); and
- participation in international conferences.
The eligibility under these conditions can be demonstrated by enclosing the relevant thesis, or dissertation; and/or the reprints of published scientific papers and conference proceedings.
The applicants applying under point 4 of the Call should submit the evidence of eligibility under the additional conditions in accordance with the Ordinance on the Additional Conditions for Appointment into the grades and corresponding positions at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Science.
Information for foreign nationals
Foreign nationals applying under points 1, 2, and 4 of the Call, in addition to all other required documents, must provide a proof of Croatian language proficiency.
For all points of the Call the applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and achieve top result in the selection procedure.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.
APPLICANT ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE:
The applicants applying under points 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Call who are fully eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call may be invited to take part in an interview as part of the selection procedure.
If invited, the applicants will receive a separate e-mail advising them of the time and place of the interview.
Any applicant who fails to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying their qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Call is 30 days after publication in the Official Gazette.
The results of the Call will be published on the official website of the PMF: www.pmf.unizg.hr (section: Calls for Applications).
