In connection with the development of its research activities, CNBOP-PIB is seeking a qualified and motivated researcher to join its team in the Department of Studies and Research Projects as an Assistant. The selected candidate will conduct research and development activities in the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy Engineering, in line with the Institute’s scientific profile, including the implementation of research and development projects, dissemination of scientific achievements through publications and conference organisation, as well as cooperation with external partners in Poland and abroad.

Requirements
Skills/Qualifications
- Master's degree* or PhD degree in Engineering and Technical Sciences — in one of the following disciplines: Environmental Engineering, Mining, or Energy Engineering.
Master's degree or PhD degree PhD in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering and Transport, or Chemical Engineering is also acceptable, provided that the candidate is willing to work within the discipline under which the Institute is evaluated (Environmental Engineering, Mining, Energy Engineering). A defined area of competencies and a scientific profile related to the research focus of the Institute.
*the maximum period of employment in this position is five years. Promotion is possible upon obtaining a PhD degree - Defined area of research competence and scientific profile consistent with the Institute’s scientific profile.
- Publication record in journals listed in JCR (Journal Citation Reports).
- Knowledge related to the area of the institute's activities.
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights protection regulations.
- Knowledge new technologies, research trends, and innovative processes.
- Experience in participating in research and/or development projects.
- Experience in collaboration with external partners.
- Laboratory experience.
- Experience in obtaining new sources of financing for scientific and research activities and the dissemination of science.
- Command of Polish – obligatory (fluency required).
- Command of English – at least B2 level (CEFR).
- Good working knowledge of MS Office tools.
Specific Requirements
- Willingness to declare the Institute as the primary place of employment and to be included in the Institute’s official research staff count N number.
- Knowledge of the Act on Research Institutes.
- Knowledge of the Act on Higher Education and Science.
