Assistant Lecturer, Korean
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Skidmore College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track Assistant Lecturer position in Korean beginning Spring 2026. This is a one semester appointment with possibility for renewal.
Responsibilities:
- Teach one section of Korean 101
- Contribute to departmental initiatives, etc.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a master’s degree in Korean linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition, or a related field
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
- Native or near-native proficiency in Korean
- Excellent command of English
Salary: $2507 per credit (courses are three or four credits).
All bargaining unit members shall be covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Skidmore College and Services Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 200 United.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Form I-9 and verification of identity and work authorization as required by federal law.
